It has been a long journey. I cannot remember when it began and scarcely recognize I am going through it. It emerges in unusual senses and at singular times. I can’t express what was first: painting or the long car journeys, which made me reflect on it. Furthermore, I can’t recall when photographs and short videos appeared, joining wildly this trip. Unexpectedly it all came together: a sole borderline guiding me through a horizontal journey running parallel to my trips. A long thread connecting and dividing my territory.

I display a fraction of what I’ve seen and imagined in these journeys, using diverse media in which I detain myself for a long time. Different representation techniques of what turn out to be meeting points, linking up and down, the unlimited and the mountains, east and west, 2.600 and 1.000 meters above sea level, the smell of moss and the scent of warm green.

I was trapped in a halfway silence of long journeys, where I came across a bit of something and then, when I went on to another place, it escaped me. Then it appeared again, without thinking of it, and came back through ancient fragrances impregnated in my memory.

Every trip, walk, and horizon turned into an impression of dizziness, I shaped and replicated in my workshop. Holding on for countless hours, painting, I struggled to trap instants. I detained time in several photographs asking them to speak to me, afterwards, of what I’ve seen, and made me think, of what I’ve lived and made me achieve.

It has been a pleasant trip. Now another one begins. Look forward to your company. I hope you stop, focus, and enjoy.
